According to Delhi-based nutritionist Priya Bansal, “A ketogenic (keto) diet is a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet that aims to induce a state of ketosis in the body.” Bansal went on to explain that ketosis occurs when the body switches from using carbs as its primary fuel source to using ketones produced from stored fat. “The diet typically involves consuming high amounts of healthy fats, moderate protein, and minimal carbohydrates,” she added.
According to Bansal, an intermittent fasting diet provides a cycling window during which a person is needed to fast for extended period of time and eat within the remaining window. “The body enters that fat-burning zone when you fast for more than 12 hours,” she stated.

“Vegan diet eliminates all animal products, including meat, dairy, eggs, and honey, and focuses on plant-based foods,” said Bansal. It emphasises fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds as the main sources of nutrition.
